Letter from engineer Giuseppe Bacciagaluppi (member (Segretario della CSAI) of the national motor sport authority CSAI), to Enzo Ferrari, Bacciagaluppi informs Enzo Ferrari that with the end of the sports car world championship season 1971 the technical regulations in force until then, which allowed the use of sports cars with engines up to 5 liters displacement by means of a special rule, ended, thus the Ferrari 512S came to its end of use. Bacciagaluppi also informs Enzo Ferrari of the new technical regulations (valid until 1975), only 3-liter sports cars without minimum production are now permitted for the 1972 World Sports Car Championship season, whereupon he explains some minor changes. These new regulations forced Ferrari to build the Ferrari 312PB and helped it win the 1972 World Sports Car Championship title.
